Avon and Justine June favourites

A while a got spoilt with a box of newness from Avon/Justine and I’ve had chance to sort through all of my faves.

  1. Avon ultra colour lip tint pens(R169.90)

Avon lip tint pen

Was so excited to see these I literally slapped these on the moment I saw them. I have a deep obsession with lippies just say an easy way to make a statement and pick up any look. These do not disappoint at all! Love love love! I received 2 colours freesia (a berry pink) and raspberry(a cherry red). Packaging wise as always these look expensive and sleek the cap clicks shut tight so the product won’t dry out or the cap won’t fall off in your bag. The felt tip makes it really easy to quickly and precisely apply the product. When I apply it the pen doesn’t leak or feel overly wet (if that makes sense) application is actually really smooth and I don’t even really feel anything. Very light weight I hardly even remembered I had anything on my lips and extremely pigmented. The colour does last the entire day just fades a bit and transfers once applied but once the top layer has transferred the colour afterwards stays put. It’s not drying nor overly hydrating and the colour does appear matte due to it’s nature. It does require exfoliation and a slick of lip balm underneath like with any lip stain otherwise it will emphasise dry patches. I’ve been using these daily for a few weeks now and they haven’t dried out one bit. Definitely recommend this for anybody who loves colour but hates reapplication and worries about transfers.

  1. Avon ideal flawless cream concealer(R119.90)
Swatches of Dark and medium respectively

My second love as you know is concealer hides any imperfections without the need to wear a full face of foundation. Packaging wise this really reminds me of the bobbi brown concealers without the mirror which is not really an issue. As usual the compacts snap shut tight and is very small and light weight. Initially when you pick up some of the product you notice it is very sheer but don’t let that deceive you coverage on this is amazing. It is extremely creamy and actually silky it doesn’t dry out the skin at all even though it sets to a powder finish. I tried it over a pimple and under the eyes and it really conceals well in both cases. Lasting power is pretty impressive too and mine lasted for the whole day.

  1. Avon ColorTrend boost it! Mascara(R69.90)

IMG-20150625-00684

A lot of people really love this mascara this however is not suitable for me specifically as I prefer lengthening mascaras as opposed to volumizing ones since I lack in that department. I do however think it is a great mascara for someone who has the length but just looking for some volume. This hot pink tube clicks airtight shut. The formula is not overly wet which gives it a good amount of control whilst applying but it also doesn’t dry down to a crumbly mess. Dries and sets really fast because the formula is not so wet so you don’t have to worry about a major mess if you accidently blink I actually prefer drier formulas for this reason and even find that I only once a mascara has dried a bit can I actually fall in love with them. It holds a curl well and is easy to remove. My eyes didn’t feel irritated afterwards. The thickness of the formula again works great for volume boosting mascaras as it nicely wraps and coats the lashes also lashes look defined and I didn’t notice any clumping. It is a true black colour and the tiny brush makes it easy to reach even the smallest lash with less fuss. There is a bit of fallout and transfer under the eyes by the end of the day but not major panda eyes.

  1. Justine body balance even tone body butter(R105)

IMG-20150605-00650

A must have for winter skin this body butter smells like a green floral. Contains a blend of my beloved miracle argan oil, shea butter and grape seed oil. Very hydrating and thick so it creates a nice moisture barrier. It specifically meant to target uneven skin tone.

  1. Justine luminescence even tone day cream SPF 15 (R410)

This comes in a gorgeous pink glass pump tube. It is very hydrating and lightweight making a great base for makeup application. The magic ingredients here are mulberry, grape fruit extract, argan, grape seed, sunflower seed, neem seed, rice bran, skullcap, wheat germ and saxifrage sarmentosa extract basically all the things you could put into a cream combined.  Specifically meant to even out blemishes and increase skin firmness within 7 days.

  1. Avon fan nail brush (R49.95)

The concept is a quick striped nail effect which works pretty well and is really quick and easy to do.

You can find all these in the June avon catalogue
