This month’s rubybox was oh so exciting because it marks the rubies 2nd birthday! And obviously we know we’d be in for a treat and be able to join in on the celebrations. Absolute spoils with international finds from around the globe I had an amazing pamper time with all the treats over the weekend. All the rubies received a dynamic duo of the co-owner’s faves to celebrate. So here’s what I received:
1. Taylor by Taylor swift EDP-1.5ml (R495-50ml)A celebrity fragrance. Is a happy fruity floral that combines litchi, tangerine, peony, vanilla, sandalwood and musk. All I get really from sniffing this is musk musk and more musk can’t really pick up any of the other scents but I think it was just the case of a combination of too many notes and then the musk which came out too strong just over powered the other notes.
2. Vao vernis a Ongles nail polish-full size (R69.95)
Was excited to try this as I saw it featured in one of my glossys not too long ago. A beautifully glossy lilac that dries really quickly, easy to apply and lasts for ages.
3. Salvatore Ferragamo tuscan soul bath and shower gel (R209-150ml) and Salvatore Ferragamo tuscan soul body lotion (R299.95-150ml)Even pronouncing this makes me cringe it just sounds so sophisticated and why wouldn’t it it’s Italian of course! This is an Italian designer best known for his shoes who has branched into fragrances and body care. And it was imported all the way from Italy to find a home in this month’s box. It has a very refreshing scent with notes of bergamot, orange blossom, magnolia and iris. The size of these samples is enormous and great for travelling. The bath and shower gel foams really nicely and leaves an amazing scent afterwards. The body lotion is quite runny so it absorbs really quickly into the skin leaving it feeling moisturised and soft.
