Review Lancôme x Richard Orlinski Absolue Soft Cream

For the first time, Absolue collaborates with a world-renowned artist by inviting French sculptor Richard Orlinski to create a unique interpretation of our Perpetual Rose. Richard Orlinski is known for his complex sculptures, made in precious materials and inspired by the beauty of nature. For Absolue, he created a reinvention of our iconic Perpetual Rose in a luxurious, modern sculpture that reveals Absolue’s pure beauty.

At the heart of the Absolue range is their 3 Grand Rose Extracts enriched with Lancome Rose, Rose Damascena and Centifolia Rose.

Inspired by its exceptional vitality, our lab has turned to a phenomenon of nature: The Absolue Perpetual Rose™, growing only in the Valensole plateau and blooming vividly almost all year round. Millions of rose extract molecules are encapsulated in our iconic Patented* Absolue Soft Cream. From thick to thin, its texture softens on the skin, leaving a moisturizing and brightening effect. Each day, skin is revitalized with millions of new skin cells.

Below are the key ingredients in Lancome Absolue Soft Cream:

Rose Complex Extract: It soothes the skin and accelerates skin renewal. Rose Complex Extract is considered an exclusive formula of Lancome. Although it is not at the top of the ingredient list, it also accounts for a large proportion.

Hydrogenated Polyisobutene: It softens and moisturizes to prevent dehydration or flaking.

Hydroxyhydrocinnamate: It brightens skin and protects skin from the sun. Also, it is an indispensable ingredient to maintain the skin’s youthfulness entering the aging period.

The cream provides immediate reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, gives skin a nice soft glow, offers 24 hour hydration, improves skin cell renewal and protects the skin’s barrier. Basically softens skin, locks all the good stuff in and keeps the bad stuff out.

As part of their clinical trial participants claimed their skin felt more revitalised, protected, refined, reduced redness, skin felt softer and more rejuvenated.

It has a really strong rose scent too but if you love that scent like me it shouldn’t be an issue.

This product is on the pricier side but there is a reason why people repurchase this over and over again. To be honest though a little does go a long way as you only need to use a pea size for the whole face and neck so it will last you ages.

The packaging is also really eco-friendly as it is refillable and the you can also save a bit of money repurchasing just the refill.

With this limited edition packaging who would want to part with the bottle any way. The top is a gorgeous gold rose design and the lid is autographed by Richard Orlinski himself. I also believe it is limited edition and I have seen many places don’t have stock already.

Applying it for the first time the consistency rich and luxurious but when applied it melts really easily and quickly into the skin. I did notice my skin felt more plump and hydrated with my fine lines being less visibly instantly. Even the next morning I could still feel the protective product layer on my skin.

This is available for a limited time only from Brown Thomas, Arnotts, Boots, Independent pharmacies and lancome.ie at RRP of €218
