As someone who grew up using the brand’s iconic Great Lash Mascara, I was very excited to try the new Maybelline Sky High mascara. This mascara has literally broke the internet. The affordable mascara went viral on TikTok and at the time of writing, videos using the Maybelline Sky High Mascara hashtag have totalled more than 639 million.

I love the length and the size of the narrow tapered spikey brush which makes it easy to get right into the root of the lashes creating ultimate length and lift. The fact that it is flexible makes it easy to get into the inner corners and catch the shorter lashes. Every lash is separated and coated. The long length of the brush makes it easy to do the whole lash line at once.

Just like the name states it makes your lashes sky high delivering “limitless length” and “full volume.” With the secret lying within the Flex Tower brush which reaches each individual lash and increasing volume. Maybelline Sky High Mascara is infused with bamboo extracts to help nourish your natural lashes, similar to those found in eyelash serums.

I could definitely see it visibly lifted, lengthened and volumized my lashes even on the first coat. The cosmic black is really black as I noticed it really darkened my black lashes. It really holds my stick straight lashes up really well. I also didn’t notice any clumping and my lashes separated well.

It is also really buildable the more you apply the more volume and length you get but still does not get heavy or clump.

The formula is a bit wet so I would recommend letting it dry before blinking or applying extra coats. In terms of wear this lasted all day. Even by the end of the day I didn’t notice any flaking or smudging, it stayed put even though it is not a water proof mascara.
