The november rubybox

This month’s box was to assist the rubies in preparation of summer with some nice little treats as always 🙂 so let’s get down to what was inside

1. The men and woman’s fragrance of Armani code-1.5 ml each

•Armani code pour femme (R899-50ml): This fresh, sexy fragrance combines zesty blood orange,ginger and peach sorbet with soft hints of sambac jasmine and orange blossom and then warms with precious woods and sensual vanilla. The top note I pick up was the orange which later transformed into a fruity floral which I was pleased about because as you all know I love floral scents and even so very appropriate as a summer scent
•Armani code (R769-50ml): This is the first oriental fragrance for men from Giorgio armani which combines a citrus cocktail of bergamot and lemon with soft notes of olive tree blossom and guaiac wood. This is probably the only men’s fragrance I like so ladies great gift to purchase for any male in your life for christmas.

2.Essence XXXL shine lipgloss in forever rose-full size (R24.95-5ml)

An ultra glossy,moisturising and non-sticky lip gloss with a delicate shimmer that flatters all skin tones. I’ve always loved essence’s makeup due to their fancy looking packaging,great innovations with new products and ranges coming out more often than I can blink and of course affordability. I often feel the quality of these brands are overlooked due to it’s cheap price tag but I love experimenting and testing all types of makeup because as you all know I am a makeup addict and even though my makeup case is overflowing I still feel the need to buy more . This shade is a nude colour with a bit of shimmer to make even the smallest lips appear larger. It can be worn on it’s own on days where you don’t feel like wearing too much makeup but just a little life into your face or a over a lipstick to create the perfect pout. The wand applicator is different from all the other lip gloss brushes I have seen instead of being round it is a longer flat brush which allow for more precise application and also picks up just the right amount of product to cover the entire lip. I also love the amazing candy scent it has which is not that noticeable after application. The packaging does not look cheap but rather expensive looking with silver writing and a silver lid.

Essence colour & go in ultimate pink-full size (R19.95-5ml)

Another little treat from essence. As you know I love all things pink so I’m a sucker for anything pink. This is a nice berry pink which goes on like a dream at the right consistency and streak free due to the wider rounder brush. Also dries really quick and the colour being really opaque as I only needed to apply 1 coat. Regarding the packaging I love the fact that the lids are the actual colour of how it shows up on the nails(which is not always the colour you get by looking at the bottle) and also really handy for when you have a lot of nail polishes(like me) and you are looking for a colour only to be surrounded by a sea of black tops. It’s a nice little size which fits nicely into my handbag in case of emergencies or when you are on the go.

4. Little sachets of Green foot range-can’t find the size but I estimate it is about 8mls

Up until a few months ago when I heard green cross I thought shoes but now they have started a foot care range to take care of feet,legs,arms and hands. These sachets will last at least 3 uses and is perfect if you want to do a pedicure at home. All contain natural ingredients and smell amazing. I make it a habit of pampering my feet with a pedicure once a week as I run around in stilletos a lot to compensate for my shortness and that really takes a strain on my feet being cooped up in those shoes all winter so now that summer around the corner it is time to bring out the strappy sandals which mean the feet have to look soft and silky(goodbye dry feet and cracked heels). These products have specific ingredients so serve a specific purpose and they really do deliver the next day my feet were instantly soft and silky not sore and dry. We got 4 products to test:
•green cross soothing heel balm. (R31.50-75ml): contains lavender and tea tree oil for treatment of cracked heels,knees and elbows
•green cross revitalising gel (R29-75ml): contains menthol and peppermint to revitalise and stimulate tired feet. Quick absorbing and non greasy.
•green cross moisturising lotion (R29.50-75ml): contains almond oil and aloe vera for intensive hydration for feet and legs. Clinically proven to relieve and prevent dry skin
•green cross rough skin remover (R30-75ml): contains calomile and peach stone granules to exfoliate the hands,elbows and feet.
