I was recently invited to attend the launch of the new John Craig Summer’18 collection launch

After walking the red carpet, indulging in canapés and signature cocktails, while feasting eyes on models dressed in both casual and smart-wear.

The new Summer ’18 range was in full effect as  models strutted down the walk-way in our retro-nautical looks.  Think vibrant colors, coming from our v-necks, crew-necks, smart shirts and formal jackets.

This new range has ignited a dialogue about what heritage truly means through relaunching its brand of more than 70 years – resulting in a positive outcome of capturing new customers and an increase in overall sales.

As testament in its longevity, John Craig has been effortlessly adapting and growing with the trends as well as the generations that it serves. The new range includes classic pieces with fierce detailing, clean yet bold colours and statement accessories to match. The #JohnCraigSummer18 man has various personalities, from being a business man, but through this collection his personal brand still associates with youthful modernity.

Even with difficult times in the current retail landscape, the brand’s bold and brave strategy, has led to outperforming against the odds, making itself standout in an extremely competitive environment by once again taking over men’s clothes interest for the upcoming season, showcasing their indisputable ability of being industry leaders.

“I cannot believe the success we’ve had in the past six months – it’s amazing. The credibility of the name and our heritage has been the backbone of our success,” says Managing Director, Lily Moreira. “Average spend has come down. We’ve had a decrease in prices so in essence, because of the product assortment, customers have been decreasing their basket size, but we’ve gained more new transactions
so we have grown our sales by around 20%.”
