{Guest post} Beaucience facial at The Spa Warehouse

A While ago I treated the lovely Charlene from www.GeeWhiskers.com to a facial as part of my guest blogger series. Here is what she had to say:

This past weekend I was lucky enough to be treated to a Beaucience Organic Purifying Facial at The Spa Warehouse in Paarl.  First off the pricelist of The Spa Warehouse is really good value for money.  A 1 hour facial is priced at R275, Spa Manicure is R165 and a 1 hour full body massage is only R300.  There are very few other places where you can have treatments for that price.

I have never used the Beaucience range before but I was seriously impressed with the active ingredients in the products.  Beaucience is a South African professional brand that specifically focusing on natural formulations and organic ingredients where possible.  The products contain a combination of unique peptide ingredients Proteasyl (derived from the pea plant) and essential oils.

The facial kicked off with a deep cleanse using a Hydrating Cleansing Gel.  The gel is an all-natural exfoliator removes dead cell tissue from the skin and soothes dry, rough skin.  It also reduces pigmentation spot and makes fine lines and scar less noticeable.  It has avocado oil and evening primrose oil to help moisturise and penetrate deep into skin.

The cleanse was followed by an Enzymatic Exfoliating Gel which is a natural way for biological peeling.  It gently dissolves dead skin cells and clears blocked pores without affecting the healthy tissue.  It has natural extracts to sooth, calm and moisturise skin.  Proteasyl and vitamin C stimulates the production of collagen in the skin.

A Deep Cleansing Enzymatic Masque was then applied to my skin, décolletage and shoulder area.  This is where I was really treated.  For the entire time the mask was on I was massaged which was truly relaxing and made this one of the most relaxing facials I have ever had.  The enzymes in the mask remove dead and dull skin cells and the natural ingredients help to moisturise and smooth the skin.   I could feel the active ingredients on my skin and could definitely feel them within the skin after a few minutes.

A Hydrating Toning Lotion was then applied to my skin.  This helps to condition the skin and purify the pores using a blend of essential oils, Aloe Vera and Geranium Oil.  While this sat on my skin to absorb I was treated to an amazing scalp massage that I seriously needed as I was nursing a 3 day tension headache.

The facial finished off with an application of the Serum, Eye Gel and Day Moisturise Cream.  These products all help to get moisture into the skin and incorporate vitamin B and Marula Oil. Which prevents trans epidermal water loss.  I left the treatment room with a dewy face that looked and felt great!

The beauty room is housed in the back of The Spa Warehouse which does seem to share a wall with the Spar in the centre.  This means at times that you do tend to hear some trollies, however it is not alarmingly noisy and I was still able to enjoy the facial and relax.  The store itself is filled with beautiful candles, soaps, creams and various décor products. The room next door has a collection of supplements and products aimed at wellbeing.

If you live in or around the Paarl area I can highly recommend this place for treatments, not only will you receive great treatments but you’ll receive great value for money.

Thanks Charlene for an amazing post once again!

And if you haven’t yet visited her blog I would really give it a read 🙂
