Elizabeth Arden Ceramide capsules

Elizabeth Arden gold capsules have been around since as long as I can remember in 1990 to be exact. They have since expanded the range which still all contain the main ceramide ingredient but just with some extra ingredients that target the most common skin concerns of anti-ageing, hydration and dullness.

What is it For?

Ceramides have proven anti-ageing properties. If you compare them to bricks and mortar, skin cells are the bricks and ceramides are the mortar. Ceramides hold skin together and form a protective layer to help prevent moisture loss and visible damage from environmental stressors. Ceramides also help to keep your skin supple. Unfortunately as we get older the skin produces less ceramide over time so something like this is essential.

I got to select a top of of my 2 favourite ceramide capsule ranges. I chose the Retinol (for the anti-aging this is reduces fine lines) and the advanced light (which is a version of the OG but for the oily and combination skin girlies)

How does it feel on the skin?
The serum feels very light and silky (from the silicone). It absorbs really well into the skin and my skin instantly feels softer and smoother after first application. I really love the ingredient ceramide as it really helps to repair and strengthen the skin barrier. I did notice a reduction in the visibility of pores, fine lines and better skin tone and texture even just from a few uses. The retinol is great for beginners since it is not such a high dosage and works hand in hand with cermamide it it works hand in hand not to sensitize and dry the skin out like pure retinols would.

What Does It Smell Like?
It is fragrance free.

What’s Special About The Design?
Probably the most special design I have ever seen. The single dose biodegradable capsules takes the guess work out of having to figure out how much product is needed. It also makes it travel friendly. The fact that they are sealed in each capsules protects the actives from air and light so they can last much longer than a serum stored in a bottle.
