Just a bit of Stila

I received products from Stila a while back but due to the truck load of products that have landed on my door step.I have been slightly delayed with trying these out but alas I now finally can give you a through assessment.

Packaging wise the boxes they come in are very thin and made from brown card board so thumbs up for the environment on this front however the packaging of the product itself is really solid and stirdy and you can really see it is high end

So let’s start with Stila Set & Illuminate Baked Powder Trio.

Nothing makes my beauty-loving heart go pitter patter like multi-duty products that can make me pretty in a hurry. Stila Set & Illuminate Baked Powder Trio. This three-in-one powder highlights, brightens, and warms my otherwise blah complexion in 30 seconds, flat!Another bonus? This smart ‘lil trio canbe used on cheeks, eyes, and your décolleté. How’s that for multi-tasking makeup magnificence? Plus the sleek black compact is really sturdy and seals very well so no need to worry about the powder messing in your handbag due to it accidently opening or seeping trough a gap. This is probably my favourite item in their range since I have never seen any other company that has created such a product. Every morning instead of a normal powder I twist 360 degrees dip my powder brush in and dust lighlty over my face for a radiant glow that is subtle enough not to make me look like a disco ball. As you all know I am a huge fan of highlighting and contouring but I would recommend it as a highlighter but rather normal powder because the shimmer is quite subtle and sheer.

Here’s the beauty scoop:

The beauty 411: This clever powder contains three brightening powders with specialty pigments, which work together to set and illuminate the skin – and can be used on cheeks, under eye brows or dusted over the décolleté for an all-over luminous glow. The three

shades are:

~ Pale pink – warms the complexion

~ Champagne – highlights the skin

~ Kitten – brightens and illuminates

Why you’ll love it: Due to Stila’s unique baking technique, when applied the powder creates a velvety finish and a super lightweight feel. But the best part is the ingenious shaver that evenly distributes each shade, turning it into a fine, silky loose powder for easy application (love this). It contains Vitamin E and jojoba oils which your skin will just love.Stila Set & Baked Powder can be worn alone or applied over foundation or moisturizer. Ready, set, illuminate! This powder trio makes luminous skin a cinch. Happy radiance-boosting,beauties…

The beauty 411: This oil-free sheer to medium coverage with light diffusing pigments help diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, contains ginseng root extract and gingko biloba lef to provide potent antioxidant benefits and help prevent premature ageing, contains chamomile to help eliminate redness soothe skin and improve elasticity, vitamin A and E conditions and provides antioxidant protection from the environment

What I thought: I found it to not be so hydrating on the skin if you have dry skin like me probably because it is oil free so I found it best to first apply a moisturiser then apply this on top it creates a very matt finish and the shimmery pigments although noticable on the fingers after application are not that noticable on the face which is great because you don’t want to shine like a disco ball. It’s quite light weight and gives a natural coverage that lasts all day and the vitamins and minerals that it contains your face will just love.
